The C-word

No, not that one....get your mind out of the gutter. I'm talking about the "can't" word that I'm hearing around here so much lately. Nathan says it regularly, and now Becca's saying it too. I've now banned that word in my house. Everytime they say it, they also have to say Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.)

Nathan's been doing some occupational therapy. He's been diagnosed (FINALLY) with sensory processing disorder, which means sometimes his senses are overloaded, and he can't process stuff like regular kids. This is why he isn't able to ride a bike, or how he freaks out with sounds, or he's really sensitive to tickling/wrestling. Since we started therapy, he quit stuttering. It's amazing. I'm so glad we finally got a diagnosis, and he's making progress!!!!!

  1. Blake has the opposite problem, he thinks he can do EVERYTHING himself, and I have to tell him he is too little to do somethings himself and then he gets mad . . . we should do switcharoo with them for a couple of days!

  2. I totally just "stole" your idea and we now have that verse up on our "lesson wall" in the dinning room! Thank you Steph, that is such a wonderful idea! Any other verse's you use often that you can share with me? I am so not good at thinking up a verse to help encourage the good thinking or behavior....
